When were these songs were recorded? No one quite knows for sure. What we can tell though is they were most likely recorded in early 2001, prior the recording of the Free Crap Ep, which was then followed by the full length album "12 Feet Under" in the summer of 2001. While these recordings were not technically pre-production demos for our album, most of these songs do appear on the album and these songs were recorded in a pretty finalized state (with the exception of Mtv, which at the time had no lyrics).

These songs were recorded live in our rehearsal space on a 4-track analog Tascam cassette recorder. Is the recording quality great? No. Are the performances sloppy? Yes. What these recordings do capture is the raw energy of a live performance of a group of 16 and 17 year olds playing punk and ska the best way they knew how at the time, a group of kids known as Better Off Dead.
